What is a Fresh 48 session?
This session is intended to happen within the first 48 hours after your baby is born. The session happens in your hospital room, and its done with immediate family only. The purpose of this session is to capture all the first moments you share with your new little family. Your baby's first yawn, the first latch, the first time they meet their siblings and so on.
FAQ
When do I book my fresh 48 session?
It's best to notify me as you find out you are pregnant. That way I can mark your due date in my calendar and connect with you as we approach your due date.
How long is this session?
This session has no time limits. It can last anywhere from 1-2 hours.
How do I notify you when to come?
Its best to notify me as soon as you go into labor, and then after you've given birth. I will also be connecting with you as we approach your due date. After you have given birth, I will plan to arrive at your bedside within 48hours.
What is the difference between Fresh48 and a Newborn session?
There are two main differences. 1) the session is done at the hospital. 2) the session is done within the first few hours after you have given birth.
Your baby is changing daily when they are first born. It's a really special way to never forget what they looked like when they were first born :)
Where do you offer these sessions?
I am currently only offering these sessions at Lions Gate & St. Paul's Hospital.
What if I have birth complications and am not feeling well enough for photos while in hospital?
You can transfer your session to an "at home newborn session" with me for a later date. This session can be done within the first 6 weeks after your baby is born!
Do you use props during this session?
No! I don't use props for any of my sessions. My goal is for you to remember your newborn baby in their purest state. And for you to be able to see all the fine details that will soon be gone as time goes on.
